Electrifying your home heating system with a heat pump is one of the most effective ways to reduce your overall carbon footprint and make your home more comfortable. An ideal time to consider a heat pump is when you need to replace your existing heating or cooling system or when you want to add air conditioning, because heat pumps provide cooling as well as heating.
And, there are incentive programs to sweeten the deal!
Littleton Electric Light & Water District’s Sustainable Home Program offers rebates for installing green heating and cooling systems and a $1,000 incentive for customers that remove fossil fuel systems and convert to all electric!
If your home is connected to natural gas you are also eligible to apply for a broad range of very substantial rebates and incentives offered by Mass Save.
To qualify for these rebates and incentives you must first do a no-cost Home Energy Assessment offered by each program. The assessments will focus on identifying opportunities for adding insulation and weatherizing to maximize the benefits of installing green heating and cooling systems.
